Yeah,I noticed I'm pretty alone in it.
But I'm sure Jean believes in himself and will become better with the Froch loss.
But I think they were just talks between them,Taylor would have pulled yet anothe rweak move by fighting the guy Froch just beat when he is the mando.
    Anyway Ihope time will tell.

How can you say Taylor would've been pulling "yet another weak move" by fighting Pascal, when you'd pick Pascal to beat him. :hi:

I personally think it would've been a weak move, but then again, I'd pick Taylor as the heavy favorite to beat him.

You've talked yourself into a bit of a corner...

At this point it would be,because Pacal los to Froch,if he would have won would have been different.
Pascal needs to get 1-2 wins and then he can get back to the big boys.

He SOUNDS like he knows what he's talking about, until you listen to what he's saying.

And for the record, his recent picks include ODLH>Pacquaio, Margarito>Mosley, and Jones>Calzaghe... he picked Hopkins>Pavlik correctly, but that's about it...

The guy makes a few good observations, but a lot of what he says is rubbish.

Taylor was done at that weight. Had trouble making middle. Of course he looked bad at the end.

    "Gift decisions"?

    Such as?

One against Hopkins I guess. Winky gave the last round away and hence fought himself to a draw.

Taylors defense recently has been an embarrassment considering he is a gold medalist with a strong amateur background. He was put down by

in his last fight. If he doesn't improve he's gonna have a tough time with Froch. Who is not shot, has two arms fully healthy, and has way better technical skills than Lacy. Its close but I'm going with Froch based on what Taylor has shown me recently which isn't much.

    Are you kidding?

Taylor's defense has improved DRAMATICALLY in his last two fights. He keeps his hands up, moves his head, doesn't back straight up, stays off the ropes and out of the corners. The Lacy knockdown was a result of him being off-balance when he turned his body to get off the ropes and Lacy grazed the back of his head - which is why it was NOT ruled as a KD.

And using that one example to show that he had a tough time with Lacy, who in reality he thoroughly domintated, is really misleading.

If we're going to talk about defensive liabilities, we should be talking about Froch's. :deal

Oh, and Taylor is a bronze medalist. :hi:

You mean his second fight with Pavlik where he was swelling badly from Kellys assault and was in danger of going down several times.

Oh is that why he was holding on for his dear life after the Knockdown. In fact that was all he was doing after the knockdown. Sorry but if he wasn't hurt why bother holding?
    Meh dominating a

isn't that impressive. Peter Manfredo was doing the same thing to Lacy before Taylor.

What having good headmovement and footwork a liability now. The only thing you Froch haters have is the fact that he keeps his hands down. Which is funny because Taylor does the same thing.

I guess that explains his crappy defense:good
