Not quite to that extreme I didn't mean it quite like that.Taylor should box using the jab and throw combinations rather than throwing single shots. That will play into Frochs hands, agree?Froch has more power and a better chin(though he is not proven at this level I acknowledge that)-thats my justification

What Taylor should do is counterpunch. Use his jab to set up his right for one-off attacks, which if successful, he should continue with combinations. If unsuccessful, he needs to get back into counter-punching stance. Bread and butter stuff. Nothing special. Froch needs to do more and better than what he did against Pascal, and take much fewer risks.

Taylor by wide decision. Taylor is not in his best form anymore hence I think Froch can reach the final bell. Froch went life and death with Pascal and we can comfortably say that Taylor is a lot better than Pascal.

    Very fine analysis. :nut

Froch didn't come close to ko Jean Pascal. Tell me what will be different against Taylor? Taylor has more experience than Pascal, his punching technique is more accurate than Pascal, he hits at least as hard as Pascal. If Froch isn't able to hurt Pascal, how will he be able to hurt Taylor?

Taylor will start fresh. And win the first 3 or 4 rounds. Froch will then recover and dominate and eventually the fight will be stopped in the 10th due to Taylor going down twice, and then ref stoppage.

Taylor is hittable. Froch has enough power to KO ANY SMW if he can land.

What tactics are you talking about from early in the Lacy fight?

Agree with Decebal that Taylor needs to establish himself early, obviously with the jab, but also show overall good composure and technique. Those aren't qualities Froch has experienced yet at a world class level, and I think they would throw him off a bit and make him hesitant to apply the pressure he needs to apply in order to win the fight. If JT can make Carl pay for his mistakes early, it will pay dividends as the fight goes on.

So he didn't land on Pascal? or Matthew Barney? Or Charles Adamu? Or... etc.

I meant him throwing single shots rather than using the jab and throwing combinations

Taylor by wide UD, something like 117-111/118-110.

I think you need to go back and watch that fight again (or possibly for the first time). Taylor was active with his jab and combos from the opening bell.

As I'm sure you know, even the biggest punchers don't score a KO EVERY time:nut I was at the Barney fight and Barney was consistantly holding and was deducted points twice. He was very close to being DQ'd. In his previous fight Barney had beaten the European Light heavyweight champ in a non title fight so he was no mug.

    Adamu was a tough m/f

Pascal was a world class tough m/f
