Zab Judah is easily p4p one of the most talented fighters out there, it doesn't mean **** on its own, its just a nice word for you to throw around

Taylor has twice the handspeed and ability to put combinations together of Pavlik. Infact, to get back to the Judah reference, how is his handspeed and combinations? Didn't ****ing help him against Baldomir (a supposed class below) did it?

You just picked out a few attributes Taylor exceeds Froch in, I could quite easily do the same the other way

Judah is a special case. 90% of the time, if a guy has Judah's type of God given talents, he goes on to do good/great things. Problem with Judah is that he has the mental maturity of a 12 year old.

Like it or not, Jermain Taylor IS one of the most gifted athletes in boxing today. He doesn't implode like Judah when things don't go his way. He actually does the opposite of Judah and starts throwing when things go bad. When Judah feels like things aren't going his way, he goes into a shell. Or he retaliates. He went into a shell against Baldomir and Cotto. He started great in both fights but once he get tagged a few times, he just stopped throwing when it was evident that the left hand was right there if he just threw it. He lacks a brain. JT has a brain. And the talent. And the heart. And the determination. Things Judah lacks.

    Thanks for playing though.

Judah was used to simply illustrate the point that taking an assortment of boxing attributes that suit your pick, without considering countless others and many intangibles is hardly a solid argument to support your case Froch has no chance

Froch has way more power, more accurate incisive punches, a better chin and is a real supermiddle accustomed to the weight

    Now what?

It is ludicrous to suggest one of these guys has no chance, its no certainty. The only thing I've found laughable in this thread, and it is not all the Taylor picks and Froch knockers (these are reasonable) is that Taylor knocks him out. Taylor would outbox him and win on points, if anything

I see your point. But i still think Taylor is clearly a class above.

This is how the fight would go. Round 1, ding ding. Froch throws a punch, JT counters and lands. Froch throws again, JT counters and lands. JT initiates combinations and he lands. Why does all these things happen? Because JT has far superior athletic talent and hand speed. He can counter Froch whenever he wants and touch Froch whenever he wants from the outside. I see it as a mismatch.

This could be possible, but not quite as extreme in my view because Froch's reach is quite considerable, and his jab is actually very underrated when he bothers using it

Atheltic talent and hand speed are moot points. He is clearly superior to Pavlik there too. He is obviously not so freakish in these departments that other boxers strengths don't even come into play like a prime Roy Jones, otherwise he wouldn't have lost to Pavlik, Hopkins (in my view) and look bad against Ouma/Spinks. Froch's would come into play, trust me :yep

Taylor's lazy defence costs him dearly against the accuracy and power of Froch. If his defence was that bit tighter I'd have no problem picking him

Well, Pavlik has other intangibles that not everyone has. Very good chin (or he would've been KOed in their first fight). Incredible stamina. Incredible work rate. Determinatino. Heavy hands. You combine all of that and he's a tough guy to beat.

And JT's defense isn't that bad. He's been fighting elite competitin for years. Of course he's going to get hit once in a while. But he improved dramatically in his latest fight. That JT gives ANY SMW trouble, including Kessler IMO.

It is laughable isn't it? Fools saying Taylor can't punch while they blow Calslappy on a regular basis ... Jermaine hits like Tyson comparatively with a Slapmaster C or a Froch ...

i must admit going on what i have seen recently i am inclined to go for froch, he is a very tasty boxer. however the fact that taylor has fought better opposition does put a doubt in my head, i do believe that froch will win a world title soon!!!!!

I feel Taylor can stop him in the later rounds.

Taylor's an overrated hype job, with HBO behind. Like usual, if he remains standing, he'll get the decision - whatever happens in the ring.

I will admit that I haven't seen a lot of Froch, but from what I have seen I would have to pick Taylor UD.
