Interesting fight. I have Taylor 60-40 favorite mostly because he is more proven than Froch.

Im leaning towards Taylor on points, JT has proven e has world class while Froch is a question mark. I Froch loses I see no future at World level, its a make or break fight defenatly, though the same can be said for Taylor.

Froch is a little bit slow handed and his work rate is not like Pavlik is so I see Taylor just being too fast and active for Carl:bbb

I'd love froch to stop taylor, but i don't think it will happen.

i don't think taylors chin is as bad as some people make out - he didn't look too uncomfortable with pavlik over 12 rounds at 164. taylor should be able to take the few flush shots froch manages to land over 12 rounds and take a comfortable UD.

Very possible. BUT Froch is completely unproven on a world level. He has good power but he eats too many punches. He has confidence and alot of self belief but the facts remain who has he beaten? Jermain is proven on a world level and he has way to much to loose in a bout against a possible dangerous unknown like Froch. Froch isnt a busy puncher but he does have the power to hurt Jermain. If Jermain boxes behind his booming jab and keeps Froch honest with the right hand this is his to win.

I doubt Froch would land "few" shots. Let's not mistake Taylor for Pernell Whitaker, his defence is sloppy, with the guard often dropping lazily. People underestimate the accuracy of Froch's shots. Taylor's relies almost exclusively on speed to avoid Froch, and when his stamina starts to fade he'll get tagged.

You seem to forget that Froch blocks most of his punches with his face. This is a guy who`s RJJ impression is so poor and his left so disatrously low that all it takes is a sweet right hand counter and its lights out. We all know what Jermains favoruite punch is dont we.

I actually think Jermain will KO this HIGHLY over-rated Froch.

He's awful. He's facing someone who can punch effectively and accurately, and with Carl's defence, it's an early KO.

    Taylor TKO 3

Jermain Taylor is not a power puncher. I don't know how many times I have to go over this ground, he feasted on 3 JMW's and didn't get a knockout or even a knockdown between them. It is perfectly reasonable to assume that Froch can take his shots, given he's never been hurt, and its the height of optimism to assume a single right hand counter from Taylor is going to spark him.

But yes, Froch's defence is poor. However I'd rather bank on Froch's ability to take Taylor's shots than vice-versa.

Carl Froch is another Edison Miranda with a big mouth ! JT should honestly outbox him and humble him a little !
