I think this one's hard to call....I'm going with Taylor based on the level of opposition he's faced.

Who ever said he was a power puncher?:think Jermain Taylor is a box puncher who CAN bang. Just because he fought 3 light middles and couldnt KO them is an indication of absolutely nothing. What kind of maths is that supposed to be?? Now theres no optimism here just hard cold facts. Froch carries his left by his waist. His not quick enough to move his head to avoid a counter right hand and usually takes them on the shoulder or generally in his face. Taylors favourite punch is the over hand right. He also likes to counter punch. Il let you do the maths. If you dont believe me watch his fight with Charles Adamu yourself.

Taylor by homicide, Froch is another big mouth joke. Froch would get destroyed by any of the top ten super middle weights, he is far from a world class fighter. Miranda would dicapitate Froch.

Carl Froch has limited skills and little defence with good power ! He will not reign with the elite...no way !!

In a year or so, a smart fight for him will be Edison Miranda for entertainment purposes only !

Theres this thing Jermain has the Froch doesnt.......it's called a jab........Jermain has a very good one at that and it will set up the serious beatdown and KO of Froch

Serious boxing fans...please open your eyes and admit that Froch is a very limited fighter..

If it wasn't for his power....he'd be unheard of !

Yes Froch is limited. Yes his defence his poor. Yes he's pretty slow. What he does have is one punch power, finishing skills, a good chin, a varied offence and good accuracy

This can take you far against a career middleweight that has to step up in weight, has a sloppy defence himself and a somewhat questionable chin and stamina.

If Jermain really trains seriously for that fight, Froch will look amateurish..I'm sorry !

And if he gets starched again he won't have trained seriously right?

There are so many parallels with Pavlik-Taylor I here.

Because Froch has serious power, he can always pull an upset, just like the Mirandas of this world can....once in a while !

I'm just saying if Taylor prepares properly, fights his fight and lets his talent speak in the ring...Froch will simply look like a lower class fighter than him !

Where the difference relies with Pavlik, it's the fact that Pavlik is more active than Froch in a ring; he's very accurate with his punches, varies them quite a bit (up and down); has a longer reach and sets up his straight punches with an excellent jab ;)

Perhaps. However, Froch is a harder puncher. Froch and Abraham are imo. clearly the hardest punchers at 160-168.

I don't know enough about Froch, and Taylor is a world class fighter, so ill back him, though it would be great to see Froch prove himself.
