I hear what you are saying about Taylor fighting within his limited skillset (combined with an above average athleticism). But, we can just agree to disagree that knowing his limitations gives him a good Ring IQ. I think a good ring IQ means anticipating your opponents moves, setting traps for them, adjusting to their tactics, getting the other fighter out of their comfort zone. Jermain Taylor was very one dimensional, and rarely demonstrated any of those facets. Herol Graham on the other hand was a master at throwing fighters out of their gameplan and rhythm. He gave a prime Mike McCallum fits. In my opinion Graham's performances against a prime Mike Mccallum and a prime Sumbu Kalumbay outshine anything Winky Wright did at any weight. Much less against a Tito Trinidad who clearly was finished at the elite level by the time Winky fought him.
