Ya a title shot, its 2012 a title shot could mean 1 of 10 guys and 8 of them might not be in the top ten in the division
:rofl:rofl:rofl Stamina issues? atsch I know you are loathe to admit it, but there is one simple issue at work here and it is a Chin issue. How many times do you have to see the guy get wobbled or KOed by everything that hits him to understand that he has a Glass Jaw?
How many times has Taylor been KO'd in the 1st or 2nd 3rd 4th 5th ? No its always after a long and grueling fight when he is gassed
He needs to face a guy who he can flat out KO in 5 or less just to get his confidence back The first guy frustrated him to the point where he hit the guy after the bell the second guy dropped him he needs to stay at the same level of opponents or step back and just crush some guy
Taylor was not that great to begin with. His best performances were against Hopkins (Imo Hopkins got the better). His title reign was so awkward and average, he was not the talent people believed he was. And then Pavlik came. If a prime Taylor were here today, I still think he would lose to Martinez. Today he would get hurt and koed. Both Macklin and Barker would whup Jermain Taylor. JT needs to either retire or fight nobodies
Yep -- that first Pavlik fight reaked havoc on JT's psyche. He beat the living **** out of Kelly in that 2nd round, but just like Steward said at the post fight presser, "Kelly came back out like nothing even happened, nothing at all." It is very rare to be able to pin point the exact time when an elite fighter got ruined, but in JT's case, that was THE turning point in his career.
