I'm a JT fan, he's 2nd only to Pavlik, but dude...you know as well as I do= it wasn't necessarily about the BEST, but as he told Larry Merchant after "beating" Spinks....."I'll fight only who pays the most, Larry". You're a JT fan, I'm a JT fan, and that statement was embarrasing as a fan of his. NO?

It was an embarrassing statement by Taylor, but as it turns out, a fight with Pavlik brought him the most money.

Fighting the best is often correlated with making the most money. Do you think Pavlik would make more fighting Mora or Abraham? There was a thread saying that Abraham's team offered Pavlik $4 million for a potential fight. Pavlik would make about 1/4 of that fighting against the likes of Mora.

    First, nice avatar...****er. lol.

Second, (also, let it be known, Pavlik fans DO NOT want him to fight Mora, OK?) how do you know this for sure?? The casual fans don't really know **** about what's up. Did you see how many packed the house to see Super Joe fight ****in' Manfredo?? like 35,000 people at the gate. They're talkin' about putin' this **** in Cleveland, where a sizeable audience could be held, and all they'll care is that Pavlik is fighting the dude that won the Contender!!!! They won't even have a clue as to what Mora has done since, nor would they care.

The hardcores in boxing, unfortunately do NOT make up the MAJORITY. There's only several thousand of us WORLD WIDE that spend our days disecting boxing and it's matches down to the letter. It's that other 349,500 people that buy the average "good" PPV that the promoters give a **** about, not us.

Actually, ESPN reports that the Pavlik fight against Mora would be in Atlantic City, and I agree with what you said about Pavlik fans.

Which part? That REAL Pavlik fans don't want him to fight Mora? Or that Casuals would buy anything Arum tells them to?

BTW, it's the same with all casual fans. ESP. ODH's...them ****ers turn up to buy over 1 million PPV's no matter who he's fighting or how long it's been since he won a damn fight.

I agree with the part that real Pavlik fans don't want him to fight Mora, but I disagree about the casual fans buying anything that Arum promotes.

If anything, casual fans would be less likely to purchase the PPV because they want more bang for their buck. It had to take both Cotto and Pavlik to make Arum's double header PPV to see a profit.

What part doesn't make sense? It would help your argument a little more to provide examples rather than make stupid comments like this.

Pavlik fans, casual and hardcore already know they get plenty of BANG for their buck with Kelly. He BANGS the **** out of most everybody put in front of him....with the exception ofcourse of ATG true Master of Boxing Mr. Hopkins. (who fought like he was 21 years old again, but with 21 years experience to back it, and self proclaimed it to be the best performance of his Career). You know how proud Pavlik fans were that he kept going out round after round, knowing he was gonna likely get beat on some more, but never think of quiting?? You wouldn't understand that though.

LOL. It's not that big of an accomplishment to last 12 rounds with Hopkins. It's not like Hopkins is some sort of feared pressure fighter nor a power puncher. You're proud of Pavlik because he didn't quit against a 44 year old counter puncher who's notorious for some stamina problems in the past? Jermain Taylor did that twice -- plus, he actually won a round or two... or seven instead of getting shut out.

Dude you reaching. Mandatory or not, Taylor didn't have to fight Pavlik. If i remember correctly Before the first Pavlik fight, Taylor was talking about moving up to super middleweight division cause he was having trouble making 160 pound limit. Taylor could easily move up to 168 pounds after the Spinks fight but he didn't. So instead Taylor choose to fight Pavlik.

He hasn't been acting like a true warrior these days with facing Rubio and now likely Mora ( who isn't the mandatory challenger).
