Jermaine Taylor beats Cotto at 160

I didn't see his last fight and I heard he looked pretty ****, but a prime Taylor at 160 would put a massive beatdown on Cotto.

 

how about floyd mayweather vs jermaine taylor for floyd's next fight?...floyd has already beaten cotto....don't wanna see that again. but floyd-taylor fight could generate a lotta interest in the black community.

 

taylor ddn't look bad beating soliman....still got the long jab and some quick explosive counters. i think he drops cotto and ekes out a close decision.

 

he'll have a big reach / height advantage etc over Cotto. Cotto would still be 70-30 favourite imo.

would be interesting if Taylor won, being lineal champion again after 10 years or so.

 

I made a thread about this awhile ago , it's nuts thinking of this guy fighting cotto there'd be a big size difference but cotto would stay in till the end and taylor can be knocked out. You'd have to favour Taylor though wonder who the bookies favourite would be

Taylor got lucky Solimon blew his lead leg out of joint. He would of lost otherwise.

Cotto would shatter him

 

The black community is small and accounts for only a very small portion of PPV buys.

 

cotto would have gotten KO'd by martinez iif martinez didn't have knee surgery.

yes, of course if floyd iis only fighting mexicans the black community doesn't care...and especially when the undercard is all-latino. but a fight like this with two big name black fighters would generate a lotta interest among black people...especially if you had broner and maybe a bradley fight on the undercard...i think al haymon is trying to revive interest in boxing amomg americans.

 

that's why taylor would beat cotto.

 

Martinez may have been shot, but I don't like Taylors' mindset. He has physical gifts but he has such a difficult time executing a game plan. He can win but it's conceivable that Cotto can utilize a game plan that throws Taylor off.
