Thats absurd. If it was banned, that means you are telling grown adults they cant make a living in the sport because its dangerous? Are you serious? Do you realise all the jobs and sports out there that would be banned because they are dangerous? And do you realise how much of a slippery slope even going in that direction is? The world doesnt need more people thinking they can tell other grown men what they can and cant do sport wise, just because its dangerous. Cant even believe I just read that on a boxing forum. You feel strongly enough about the issue to allow its banning, just not enough to not watch (hence support it)
Yeah. I'd wager that working high steel construction or in a mine yields more deaths and dangers than boxing.
This is more of case of seeing a sad case and feeling guilty because of it. Sometimes, the consequences that come from a man getting repeatedly hit in head can make you feel bad for enjoying watching it. Jermaine seemed like a really likeable guy at one time and seeing him suffer obvious consequences is not an easy thing. The poster probably feels a fondness for these men that he admires and is lamenting a loss of health for this one. It is hardly calling for a ban when you also state that I'll keep watching while it's available. Give the guy a break. Edit: I just realized I projected all over that.
Little kids in Africa get hurt and die everyday so you can post of boxing forums using your wireless devices and play video games.
Man, I feel bad for Taylor. He's definitely suffering from some kind of brain damage. He's not acting right and he needs to stop fighting. Those fights with Pavlik, Froch and Abe probably did some damage to him. He just drop the belt and get some help.
Dude has suffered Personality Changes secondary to acquired brain injury. He sounds like a totally different person than before.
I don't buy his excuse. He says the kids have no candy, so he goes off and threatens a family? Lou DiBella, Al Haymon, and Dan Rafael all say Taylor is competent to fight and put him on network TV. He needs to take responsibility for his own actions.
On the economics of it, think about all the people who may have it by boxing on an amateur level. Young people to. What is the cost toward society. I mean I love the sport but would also agree to a ban. As for the "freedom" part of the issue, it is also an act of free will to take decision politicaly.
Never was a huge fan of Taylor, he was over rated. But man, I hope that judge treats him like the trash he has become. Pointed a gun at kids because his belt was dropped by a small child? **** him.
atsch He should get evaluated first. He seems mentally unstable. All this **** he is pulling right now might not be his fault.
