It's going to be ugly once agian this guy has bad habits in and out of the ring, ok if u going to get rid of Manny? Ok i agree with that many has never had a fighter who could fight off the ropes period! Naz,Lewis, klitsko, hearns and the rest never could fight off the ropes he should have gotten Floyd Sr. would have been PERFECT to teach him how to fight off the ropes this new guy is Bull****!!!

One might question the switch in the first place. Nelson trained him from the amateur's befor Pat Burns. I saw liitle change or relevance in his time with Stewart. Kelly Pavlik didnt fall for that ****, he stuck with the trainer who spent his time on him and had a good working relationship with. Sure, easy to say bring in SR. Pavlik will KILL the world, but I guarantee that **** wouldnt work.

Each case has its own merit but switching doesnt guarantee performance. It didnt work with Steward and it wasnt all about philosophy. Sometimes there just isnt that chemistry. Sometimes there is and some fighters have benefited from changes. But after this experiment and EVERYTHING riding on this rematch? The familiarity, bond, and success shared with Nelson makes sense.

TALK ABOUT COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN??
Mayweather Sr.?? Taylor might not understand two words Sr. has to say. Then again maybe thats a good thing:lol: Cant you just picture Sr. going ballistic in between rounds, as Taylor gets off the stool and fights as if the conversation never took place.:rofl "you gotta KNAWK this MOTHERFUKA OUT MAN" There's also not enough time for Taylor to benefit on any other change.

All in all? Ozell Nelson makes the most sense for Taylor. Do I believe it changes the outcome?? NO! But I admit that while I'm a Pavlik fan and picked Pavlik by TKO, Taylor came dangerously close to a KO 2 Victory and it was a hell of a fight. Nelson probably helps Jermain make this a hell of a fight as well:yep In the end? Pavlik still has too much power and BOXED with Taylor. He'll do that again and the power difference will once again take the day, at least in my estimation. Which makes everyone tuning in WINNERS.:good

If Taylor can't fight off the ropes . . . he can't. No matter who trains him . . . he can't learn that over night.

So the best thing to learn is how to stay off the ropes. :yep

Bruh . . . more side to side movements while countering. He should not be backing up straight because once he do that he puts himself out of punching range.

First thing to do is to improve his stamina so he won't be gassing out in the middle rounds. He's got to be able to fight for 12 bruising rounds. The reason Pav can put on the continuos pressure is because Taylor's hands are not busy with his own punches. :yep

Same here Bruh . . . I picked Taylor on their first fight but I don't see how JT could even match Pav's power on this second fight.

Not unless JT suddenly becomes "superman". :D

I dont think anyone thinks you're joking. I think its pretty damn obvious and yes I have talked to people who have been in the gym with Pavlik and power is a given.

We saw it in Pavlik vs Taylor 1, we'll likely see it a second time around. Yet, Pavlik better learn from the first fight and not get cocky, train just as hard, and continue the excellent 1,2 he used, or Taylor could catch him as well.

Pavlik cleared to train!
Doctors say "the Ghost" is good to go
Undefeated WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik was certified 100% ready to resume full training today, clearing the way for Pavlik's first title defense against former world champion Jermain Taylor. Earlier this month, Pavlik had incurred superficial lacerations and abrasions to his hands and forearms while trying to repair a broken window at his home. The 14 stitches he received to repair the lacerations have already been removed. "This is to certify that Kelly Pavlik had a medical evaluation today and may return to full contact sports and activities as of November 20, 2007," said Mark F. Hendrickson, M.D., Chief, Section of Hand Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Hand and Upper Extremity Center at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH. "Kelly is thrilled and Top Rank is thrilled," said Bob Arum, Pavlik's promoter, who escorted Pavlik to his appointment with Dr. Hendrickson today. "We have some big announcements to make on Kelly's behalf in the near future, but none bigger than this. Thanksgiving came early for us this year!" Pavlik (32-0, 29 KOs), from Youngstown, OH, captured the middleweight crown when he knocked out defending champion Taylor (27-1-1, 17 KOs), from Little Rock, AK, in the seventh round of their September 29 rumble, considered by many, the "Fight of the Year."

I wonder what the BIG NEWS regarding KP is that Arum was referring to?
