He's got a good shot, better than some might think. But fighting Abraham first is bad luck for him. I think he has one of the better chances against someone like Ward or Dirrell.

    if if if..

if my auntie had bollocks she'd be my uncle!

"had froch's ass" yah right you need to watch that fight again, early rounds taylor unsettled froch mid rounds pretty even late rounds froch all the way...

i was embarrassed for your fighter the way froch sauntered around with hands down lifted taylors chin up with an outstretched left and banged the **** out of him,oh wait let me guess poor jermaine has stamina issues right ? except when he wins!!

you'd think he would train for a 12 round fight by now wouldnt you ? 24 rounds with hopkins, distance fight with lacy and pavlik, but because he got his arse handed to him by a brit (a supposedly dire technician) he gassed!!

jermaine taylor wont get passed abraham let alone kessler and froch again.

there are no excuses in a ring, deal with it taylor got smashed and will do again.

Don't underestimate abraham. Given the chance this guy could easily stop Taylor. Abraham is in the same mould as Pavlik and Froch and look what happened to Taylor there. I like Taylor as a fighter and seems like an ok dude but Abraham is a bit of a ****ing animal, I see the Froch fight happening all over again.

you just admitting to being a bandwagon hopping, fair weather fan. pull for a guy AFTER he gets a big win, and then kick him when he's down

I think Abraham will win the tourney, if not, Kessler will. Cant see anyone else being victorius.

he may very well win. he has the skill set to do it. but he has looked unimpressive at times and these guys are no joke that he's fighting. ward will surprise some people even if he ultimately loses his fight w/ kess

I can see why Kessler is favourite but his cv doesn't fill me with confidence. This is the time for MK to step up and show the world and his fans why he regards himself as the number one smw. I think Froch is but that's by the by.

I think the original poster confuses a few things here. Taylor has tremendous heart, yes, and never ducked anybody. His career is also a case of an attempt to create a superstar who failed to live up the hyped expectations.

The wins against Hopkind, while Taylor#s best fights, were controversial. I had it one win each. His defenses against Ouma and Spinks failed to live up to the expectations, the undercard with Pavlik and Miranda produced the excitement on the Taylor - Spinks night. Then Taylor had the intention of making a statement against Pavlik, who did him the favor of dropping his guard in the 2nd, Taylor bombed away, wasn't caught by the ref with his elbow strike and was unable to finish Pavlik and let the fight slip away. A better effort in the rematch, but he still lost to a fighter who isn't more talented, but enforced his gameplan in their two fights. The loss to Froch is another case of Taylor in a winnable fight he let slip away.

Taylor always has the taletn to beat Pavlik and Froch and to dominate Spinks or Ouma, but he didn't put it together. He has attributes to beat AA, but why should he suddenly be able to maximize his talents? AA seems comfortable in the boxing ring, taylor often looks like he is under intense mental stress, not in a positive way, but confused. Maybe Taylor can make a quantum leap in his ability to put together a good fight for 12 rounds, but why now?

Taylor is actually my second pick to win the tournament after Kessler! and i agree with TS if he comes at his very best, he certainly have a good chance to beat them all!
But the IF is the big question!

I would give Taylor a greater chance against Dirrell and Ward than I would against Froch again, Kessler and Abraham
