On the street, huh? Do you have a source? I live in Tampa FL so maybe I could check out his training.
I'm hoping it gets set as well. Things sound really optimistic from the Kessler side, so I guess it depends if Taylor is willing to take a fight that has a good chance of handing him his third straight loss. I can see that this may cause a bit of hesitation from Jermaine, especially if there is the possibility of fighting a very beatable Trinidad for good money hanging out there. If it falls through, I have heard that the second choice for Kessler would be Jeff Lacy, who has a date booked at Mandalay Bay in May but no opponent, some reworking of the schedule is necessary but Lacy's camp has been in contact with Kessler's. But it is a definite that Kessler wants his next fight to be in America.
That's exactly what I was thinking. He's been in a lot of tough fights and would do well to take a few easy paydays and get his confidence back.
"word on the street u say" what street is that exactly m8?? i havent heard anyting else than the normal gossip about kesslers next opponent. larsen, lacy, heussler and so on!
Would be good for Kessler to get some exposure in the States, obviously some of the Americans saying he is only hype haven't seen him fight very much. He is a complete fighter and should unify the SMW titles again should he decide to stay at that weight.
I would love to see Taylor ad Kessler fight next. Doesn't make $$$$$$$$$$ business sence for Taylor to do it yet though. If Tito's a reality, he should do that first and then go for Kessler.
I think Taylor saw the errors of his ways. Ditched Stewart, moved up to 168 where he could be healthy and trained his ass off against Pavlik. If he has been keeping in shape, I'd like him in this fight. OK. Mainly to shut up the folks the claim 160 is so far inferior to 168......
