I have him winning so far, and to me Kellys looking abit discouraged, but the fight aint over yet :bbb
he is following a gameplan making pavlik reach to the end of his range and then countering with quicker hands. if jermain had quicker feet to get in and out and step off he would win this easy, but at the moment it is still close.
Ahh congrats Pavlik, he won it on punch volume IMO, but Taylor threw the sharper punches, thats how i see it anyways.
You know, even though he didn't win, I have a lot more respect for Jermain than I did around this time in September. His biggest flaw I have thought recently was his lack of heart (not willing to do what it took to beat Spinks convincingly), his lack of conditioning (gassing out while fighting Winky), and not sticking to his gameplan (fighting so crazy when he fought Kelly the first time). All of these things reflect a lack of determination, not having a willingness to do things that aren't easy, etc etc. But in this fight he showed he was capable of improving, instead of backsliding. HE followed his gameplan, didn't let himself gas out from throwing too many STUPID punches, etc etc. Great job Kelly, great job Jermain!
BTW, I missed the punch count from CompuBox, anyone have a round idea about how many each threw and landed by the end?
