I gotta say, getting rocked several times and having my ass beat for the last three rounds by a Jaime Munguia brutal KO victim, would certainly affect my mental health as well.

I reckon the pressure that was being put on him to fight Benavidez was giving him nightmares he was definitely shook at the prospect of it.

Hope whatever issues he is having he comes out of them alright. I finally got on the Jermall Charlo bandwagon when he beat Derevyanchenko, he has been disappointing since.

Hasn’t fought in 20 months and still hasn’t been stripped.

Boxing needs to do a lot better than this.

It’s recognised you become inactive after 12 months without a fight. Surely after the same period of time you should be stripped.

Meanwhile non American WBC champs are forced into mandatories within months of winning their belts.

Another thing that is ridiculous is that Charlo never legitimately won the WBC world title he was made champion by default in a gimme fight he never fought Canelo or GGG.

Blame the WBC for not enforcing mandatories. When was the last time, in 2016?
And now there is an interim champ, so realistically the belt isn´t being held hostage.

To think the IBF stripped Cordina instantly when he got injured while this man is allowed to hold the WBC belt hostage for nearly two years. If he was from Tajikistan he would have stripped for even contemplating the fight with Montiel. Joke.

I still feel they did him dirty but I forgot he had already used his exemption in the July to push their fight back to November. Then in training for that fight picked up another injury.

Horrible luck but Rakhimov's shot was already overdue.

That´s what the interim belt is for.
