Charlo fought a cripple, anyone could have beaten a cripple! Hell, the cripple could hardly walk, much less fight. Charlo should fight Jacobs or Saunders next.................
misleading i think Centeno has two KOs as a MW, and you just named both of them whatever anyone thinks of his chances vs Charlo, Centeno is not in the KO business. in fact, until his fight with Aleem, i wasn't even aware Centeno was a MW that's because until recently he was fighting both at MW and in the division below i have only seen Centeno fight once and that was against Maciej Sulecki, on the Smith v Fonfara card. This fight was about 18 months ago and i'm also certain it was at JMW, because that's Sulecki's weight class. Sulecki put him away Centeno isn't a consensus Top 10 MW (he probably is on someone's list though); for one, he has very few fights at MW--in fact, he doesn't fight all that often, he's maybe 26 or 27 and he fights twice per year. what's more, his one good win is Aleem (which was his most recent though), so whatever standing he has at MW must be based on that one fight aside, no idea how Centeno makes weight. He's like a MW version of Robert Easter (not w/r/t skills though) he's 6'3" with something like a 76" reach--fighting at MW (and not too long ago JMW) i suppose my point is that Charlo--who for some reason only he knows, regards himself as the #1 MW--could have chosen a far better opponent. There are plenty out there: Derevyanchenko, Murata, Jacobs, and BJS, for instance
Centeno is more like 6ft1 I see him like another Andy Lee, they both make 154 but look pudgy at 160. Both are tall with big reach and monster power. I like Centeno and think he definitely has a punchers chance against Charlo for sure. If Charlo gets too **** I could see him going to sleep but he is a huge favourite.
If Golovkin/Canelo/Jacobs/Saunders are boxing a mini tournament through most of next year Charlo should cut the B level fights and get it on with Derevyanchenko. Charlo has looked scary good lately, no middleweight is as talented athletically, but I think Sergey could make him really uncomfortable, and if Charlo wins he'll have to show us he has a boxing brain along with his physical talent. It'll be a contest of who can find their distance: Sergey will be shifting and showing angles yet trying to land inside and back Charlo up, while Charlo will have to stay at range to extend his punches, and land hard to keep Sergey away. Don't call middleweight a division with a great top 5, Derevyanchenko is there to make it a great top 6 and deserves the fights. Murata and Andrade by the way I only see providing stiff losing challenges to the top 6. They'd make for an interesting fight with each other though, eh?
Jump on on the action? He had a chance to schedule purse bids for GGG fight but refused. Then he bypassed #2 rated Jacobs for Hughie Centego fight. This guy wants no action.
This doesn't even make sense. No purse bids were scheduled because the WBC did not order the fight. They ordered the Canelo rematch. If purse bids were scheduled it would be done by the WBC , not by Charlo . Try hating with a bit of common sense next time , yeah?
WBC cannot order Byrdnelo anything, he is his own man There's only one mandatory that GGG had and it's Charlo. His own mandatory is ducking him! But it's ok, I was gonna give him a pass if he fought Jacobs, a guy who's rated next highest by WBC but he even ducked him and they are both under Haymon, easy as pie fight to make.
Charlo is fighting for the WBC interim until the Canelo rematch is out of the way. Then the WBC will order the mandatory defense. Purse bids can't be set-up for a fight that hasn't been ordered. Jacobs didn't call him out so he's the one whose ducking.
LOL Jacobs just called out Saunders but he's afraid of Charlo? That makes no sense, Jacobs has a proven record of fighting top guys.
Thanks for admitting that Charlo is not a hurry to cash out his mandatory position. What's the point of becoming the mandatory then? Did Wilder fight for an interim trinket? No he called out Stiverne and forced the fight for the belt.
