It really depends on how much Golovkin has left in the tank. He looks slower than ever tbh, and in his early career he had quite fast hands. It's all very well having the power, but older fighters typically struggle to land it clean.
September 2020 "The whole world understands that I can fight in there with the best of them. He gave GGG [Gennadiy Golovkin] a harder test than he gave me so I think the levels showed. I'm the best middleweight in the world.” --Jermallo Charlo April 2018 ''GGG is on his way out'' --Jermallo Charlo Love these triangle theories Problem with that is if you wanna play that game you can't just pick and choose when to do so. You have to play by those very same rules all the time Aside from the fact that GGG was nearly 38 y/o and obviously way past his prime when he fought Dev Andy Lee stopped a way closer to prime Korobov in six rounds, whereas Jermallo needed a gift from the judges to get past a way past prime inactive Korobov who took the fight on a weeks notice, literally hadn't fought anyone with a pulse in four years and was training to fight an absolute bum in an 8 rounder on the undercard So Lee>>Jermallo, right? John Thompson TKO 2 Brandon Adams Jermallo WUD 12 Brandon Adams Thompson>>Jermallo Jarrett Hurd TKO10 Trout Jermallo WUD 12 Trout (robbery IMO) Hurd>>Jermallo
Father time will beat GGG like every fighter. His decline is very evident although he is still a top fighter However him vs Jarmall now would be a damn good fight.
I had GGG winning 114-113 and I had charlo getting a draw. I would have been okay with 115-113 charlo and 116-112 wasnt terrible I suppose. the judges cards felt absurdly off.
Over 400 Fights and 38 and you can see he has not much left in the Tank.....5 years ago Charlo gets finished early but now is a different story.
Even though GGG is 38 and borderline shot, Jermallo has never fought a legit banger. Dev is probably the hardest puncher he's fought and he isn't a big puncher. The difference between GGG's power and Dev's is night and day and Jermallo is easy to hit Centeno KO 43% Trout KO 47% J Rock KO 51% Bundrage KO 47% Heiland KO 44% Campfort KO 44% Korobov KO 43% Adams KO 54% Hogan KO 21% Derevyanchenko KO 62% GGG KO 83%
Finally, GGG can pick out a proper field in some former Soviet, post oligarchy ran country and farm potatoes and fight shoemakers until the cows come home to be milked for the state. Good riddance you hyped up bum and please let it be a Texan that destroys him and sends his broken, roided up carcass back to Malibu to pack up his house and leave the U.S..
