Jermall Charlo would stay at 154 for Cotto fight

This is embarrassing, he is staying at 154 in the hope of landing a fight against a past prime undersized 154 fighter when he looks like he should be fighting at 168

 

Cotto wont accept a fight with Charlo , maybe 2 years ago . But definitely not now .

Charlo should move up to 160 because there's a fight there I would love to see .

So many guys at 154 need to eat a steak and move up. Canelo and Cotto is never going to fight them and the Mayweather excuse for 147-154 is fully retired. The money train at PBC is slowing and these guys have to fight each other now. Might as well go for the beast or die trying.

Want you said about fighters before staying at 154 for a shot at mayweather doesn't hold water anymore, just feels like they are hiding out in the division.

I would not have a problem with it if they were all fighting each other. No way should Lara be fighting Yuri Foreman. He should be aiming at both Charlos, Andrade, and a bunch of others. You are correct about Jermall and Jermell , they really should be at 168 and this **** with PBC guys not wanting to fight a real challenge has to stop. Haymon has spoiled these grown men. You have to sell tickets to make money. They don't understand.

 

If they can make the weight they can fight in the division. Canelo is probably looking to move up so it's logical to assume Charlo will chase after him. There's no rule they have to move up. I don't get it about boxing fans, there's already enough leverage for them to move up as it is, but this long standing PTSD over what happened in the past makes them believe boxing will never progress. That's an irrational fear.

 

They ain't doing **** at 154 besides complaining about money they can't earn. All of them believe they are stars but none of them can pack a house or get people to tune in. Broner, Thurman, and Garcia are the only guys outside of the Brits that have any pull at PBC. The rest want 2 million dollar paydays without any form of self promotion. Moving up into a division with a star fighter will at least get people to talk about them the same way Duran moved up, Mayweather, Oscar, Mosley, Punisher Paul, Maraville, Pacquiao, Ward, etc moved up to get the recognition and money they wanted to EARN! Not stand around saying, " Well, so and so got, such and such ,so I want equal or more." No they don't. If 154 ain't popular move up to 160. Golovkin won't fight you,eat a steak, 168 needs stars.
