Some dark skinned dudes feel like lighter skinned ones get more breaks, so the term got to be a kind of insult, like they were different kinds of black. It's basically another way to stratify each other into levels.

That's partly why Andre Ward got as much crap as he did growing up. Neither race really accepted him.

These outbursts are funny, but I can't help but think they're showing a lack of focus. He came off as drunk in one of them. It may not affect him much vs Centeno, but that's a good recipe to lose a fight you shouldn't.

Yeah, it’s called colorism. It’s not uncommon for one kid to get favored over their sibling for being light skinned, or just being treated better in general than blacks with darker tone. And then this can create resentment.

 

The Charlos are the two guys that I can’t wait to see get knocked out. They are unbelievably annoying.
