Jermell Charlo vs. Joachim Alcine RBR

Charlo is mixing in left hooks and right uppercuts on the body jumping to Alcine from the outside, giving him less respect now. Double jab piercing his way inside by Charlo. Alcine is pumping the sidearm jab and then coiling it back in gathered by his waistband, hoisting it up against his side to repeat. Charlo is walking through & blocking most of those jabs and firing a 1-2 at the head of Alcine, snapping it back. Double jab, right hand up top by Alcine followed by a slapping pair of hooks on the body. Charlo just keeps plowing through, guard up but not bothering to move his head or cover his body with his elbows, disregarding Alcine's power. Stiff jab by Charlo. Alcine rolls his left shoulder to attempt catching shots on his raised bicep. Charlo is quick enough to still thread the needle with his jab before Alcine closes off the lane.

They didn't show highlights of Mamadjanov vs. Corley (or mention the result) between Harrison vs. McCalla and this, did they?

 

Round 6

1-1-2 by Charlo and down goes Alcine, very suddenly, early in the round! Alcine beats the count a little over halfway in, smirking. Charlo is diving in and slamming down with shallow overhand rights behind the loosened-up jab or a sweeping long range left hook. A few clinches as Charlo is getting wild, Alcine savvy enough to grab. Inevitably, however, enough of the right hand club across the neck and upper back of Alcine for the ref to step in as he wavers on his feet.

I still feel like J-Rock is a better finisher than Jermell in general.
