A Brook fan here, but I've got to go with Charlo for the win

Brook has to retire now surely.... The more I read about his eye injury from ggg the more I'm surprised he took a dangerous fight so soon...I don't think he has a choice anymore now. His face is ****ed ! Khan if anything, then retire

Would be an interesting fight but one I doubt we ever see, not least because Jermell will be at 160 before long.

    Charlo K.O.

Brook is a 2 eye handicap now, he should retire

This is crazy. He just took a beating and quit against Spence. Charlo is more polished and times his shots better than Spence. Charlo would knock Kell out cold.

If Brook hadn't fought GGG and Spence and was just moving up, I'd have made him a minor (but clear) favorite in a good fight with Jermell.

Now? I fear Kell's damaged goods. I'm not the kind to write a guy off after a couple losses, but it's how he lost that matters. Those were brutal fights and Kell absorbed a lot of punishment. Not sure what he's got left against a world caliber opponent. Charlo's not as good as his brother, but he's still a solid fighter.

I feel this is a great possibility for both. Charlo should be the fav but brook is a more live dog than he was vs spence, imho. This fight has less than a year to complete because charlo has probably 1 more jmw fight, if even that.

Brook would not be getting ko'd by anyone at these weights and could out box charlo, this lesser of the bros, but does brook have it in him to prepare like he had his previous 2 camps ? idk, tough ask right there

    Brook fan here too......

Charlo aint got anything remotely close to Spence power or size, and Brook at 154 would be stronger, and more able to impose his inside game.

That said....how much did injuring yet another orbital bone take away from him.

If the GGG injury is a gauge, Brooks heart is big enough that he'll come again, just as strong.

As for Mellow.....he was being outboxed by John Jackson FFS. Luckily, JJs chin is pure glass. Brook....IRON.

If Brook recovers.....I take him in a route.

Can't dispute any of that. It's only that I don't expect that Brook will be the same after the back-to-back eye injuries. I'll be very happy to be wrong on this one though.

The fall is fast for athletic fighters that rely on reflexes. I love Brook but in a year he'll be entering Jean Pascal territory (another one of my favourite fighters). I don't see him beating any of the true top guys at 154 lb. He might pull a Ricky Burns and have a somewhat skeptical late career revival if he's matched against the right opponent.
