Le Banner was an amazing kickboxer but he's long past his prime now. He also never developed a ground game so his success would be predetermined by the grappling ability of his opponent. Generally even the world's greatest kickboxer can be neutralized and choked out by the lowliest jiujitsu blue belt in less than 90 seconds.

Kickboxers have to learn jiujitsu and understand submissions before they can have any kind of success in MMA. The best to crossover to date has been Maurice Smith, Mirko Crocop and K.J.Noons.

He's still a very good fighter and has really delivered some great action packed fights recently, especially in 2010 when he joined Chakuriki. His speed-power is still great considering his age and the fact that he's a 260+ pounder, speed-wise he can still compete with young guns as Spong and Kyotaro.

The only issue he has now is injuries and his stamina what makes him lose his fights.
A pity, but I guess that's part of getting older.

He lacks the groundgame and it's impossible to make that up. He has been on his back in each mma fight he had, so I doubt he would do well. Usually great kickboxers are dissapointing in mma as they are taken down and lose by some silly submission.
