With Conn's victories over Savold, Pastor and his performances against Louis, and Quarry's loss to Ellis, I find it hard to predict anything other than a Conn UD here.
Close fight, I'd say Quarry is the harder puncher here and getting Conn to trade wouldn't be that tough. I like Quarry by KO
This is a fight that I would be really interested in seeing because there are so many variables. I am pretty sure that Conn would outbox Quarry, I think that he was the better fighter. In exchanges I think that he would be faster than Quarry and that he hits hard enough to hurt him; Conn only had 14 kos but the majority were at heavyweight, if memory serves. But Quarry can box better than he is given credit for and he was pretty sharp himself. He can certainly hurt Conn but I don't know if he can close ground like Louis did, if that makes sense. I think that this would be a very good fight because you know that they are going to box and trade.
I think Quarry would have his way with Kahn, from bell to bell. He couldn't take Louis's power and I don't think he could take Quarry's either. Quarry was a legitimate HW who fought grown men. Kahn's stint at HW was cute for what it was, but in reality he had no business there, it was just the cash grab of his day. This would be over rather quickly, and brutally, and would probably spawn some new rule changes regarding mixed weight bouts. I have Quarry in 5, by towel stoppage
I don't do cross era fantasy predictions, so I won't argue with your Quarry prediction, but Conn beat ranked HWs Bob Pastor and Lee Savold before the 1st Louis fight, as well as multiple other HWs, and 227lbs Jay Turner before the 2nd Louis fight.
Excellent and intruiging match up.I confess I can see good arguments for both men. Gun to head,Conn by split dec.
This is a hard one to predict. Quarry definitely wouldn't be too big as he was around the same size as Joe Louis. Can go either way, but I say Conn via decision
