Seems to me that Williams was a fast starter. He also seemed to fade fast. Stamina problems? Or were Listons punches that heavy. I can see Quarry having problems early on, then asserting himself in the middle Rds. Possibly KOing Williams late or gaining a decision.

I think that's fair enough ,Quarry would be favourite, and rightly so ,
but he could be dropped, and Williams had the guns to do it.
PS Nice to have some one say they may be wrong on a point, the guy I usually engage with is never wrong.

This is a perfect fight for Quarry not without excitement but I like Quarry by KO before the 7-8th round

Williams had one of the best natural builds i have seen. Seemed pretty athletic and exposive in his prime but didn't seem to have the durability to take him to the next level.

He could hurt Quarry early but the most likely outcome is Quarry mid to late stoppage.

And Marciano, Frazier and Holmes had some of "the worst natural builds" I have ever seen.

I pick Williams to beat them both.

Seriously, there are 10 guys in my gym with the same build as Williams. Should I go out and promote them?

Not sure what you are getting at here. I didnt say his build had any bearing on his fighting capacity, just that in an era when drug usage wasn't as pronounced he had a good physique and seemed to be naturaly gifted.

Not to get into cosmetics ,but what exactly was wrong with Holmes build? Maybe a bit light in the legs but worst?

Wide birthing hips... an extended pelvic girdle, I think is what they call it.

Sorry, it seems observers spend a lot of time drooling over William's "measureables" and don't really spend enough time analyzing his rather uninspiring record.

Oh ,I am the same myself ,an extended boozing belly.

I whole heartedly agree about the suppression part... especially in American Football! I am merely repeating **** I have heard both in and out of the gym, on and off the field.

Yeah, it's gay as the day is long.

Good man ,it was time to come out.
ps Have you any close up pics of Corbett, and Papke in those thongs?
If so, I will trade you for one Baryshnikov, and one Nureyev.
If I can get them down from my bedroom wall.

Apparently, there's a good deal of suppression in these parts.

Now, I've got some deep fisting to accomplish.
