absolutely, a shot alcohol and coke addict Quarry fought Norton, a prime version of Quarry would get to Kenny after some good exchanges. The shot version wobbled Ken badly but the ref stepped in Quarrys view and JQ missed how bad Ken was hurt. Jerry never cried about his losses but he said he prostituted himself against Norton,he was in no condition to fight

I agree with bummy davis and chuck 1052 re quarry v the bangers and fighting Norton too late.quarry had charisma and courage in equally huge amounts.
Quarry v bob foster would have been a 2 or 3 round war to match hagler v hearns

Energie, you're obviously new to boxrec. Shavers has two pages on his record. Go to the next page and you will see the result.

I felt sorry for Jerry when he fought Norton....he shouldn't have taken the fight, as he was SHOT with a capital "S". A few years earlier, I think he would have beaten Norton...maybe by a tko. He was fat, sloppy and out of shape...just a spent force in there getting hammered by Kenny.....but even then he had his moments and had Norton in trouble, which leads me to believe that he would have had a much different outcome if he were nearer to his prime.

I think Jerry would have splattered Bob Foster...a classic revenge-motivated affair for Quarry.
