Chuvalo gave Ali some real post-fight problems, such as Ali bissing blood per some reports.

Chuvalo might be the most overrated fighter in history. Im always amused when i watch him make a myriad of excuses for his losses against guys like ali, (short notice), frazier (fractured eye socket), george foreman (stopped too soon), patterson (robbery), but never mentions losses to mediocre fighters like rademacher, king, baker, folley, mcmurtry, corletti, erskine, and cleroux. Look, the bottom line is that Chuvalo simply wasnt that good. He wasnt on the same level as the best guys he fought. In my opinion he loses nine out of ten to quarry it just so happens that the one he actually fought with quarry happened to be that tenth fight. He lost every round of that fight but got lucky as hell on the kd.

I had wondered what happened to senor pepe, someone had said he had passed but apparently he was booted. Many you don't see here anymore, good posters like durananimal, little red, etc.

Jerry did not need this fight, and could have had Brian London III at the roller rink in they olympic auditorium, for what he made for Granite George! had he stopped Chuvalo minus the knockdown , would have had a 1970, or 1971 rematch with "Smokin Joe" And may have retired intact (hopefully for good). And as fate goes, he lost to Granite George , and I believe would not have Fought and beat Mac Foster for the number 1 contender , had he won! George would have been given a gift disqualification today, -sports evolved non violence rules of now, (baseball, football etc.) Course the cage has also evolved! for boys and girls !
