12 rounder, just thought I’ve never actually threaded up this match up before and thought about it quite a bit. Thoughts brethren?

    Height: 6ft5 - 6ft
    Weight: 235lbs - 197lbs
    Reach: 81inch- 72 inch

You can guess who is who - what a disparity! Curios.

Bowe stops him in around 8.
But Quarry has great moments Countering him.
I think Bowe is just a little too much of everything for Jerry.

Gotta go with Bowe, he could stay at range or fight well on the inside. Stops Quarry in 5.

I think Bowe is a bit overrated but I think he stops Quarry I know Quarry had some success vs big punchers but they weren't anywhere near as skilled as Bowe.

I could see Quarry winning a few rounds troubling Bowe with his counter punching until Bowe starts finding the range with his jab/overhand right and stops Quarry between 8-10 rounds.

First time I seen it, I don't follow like I used to, QUARRY KO 1
NO I'd have to throw some bucks on Riddick, However pound for pound? IDK.

Quarry at 195-200 lbs beat some amazing records, giving up height, reach, weight , here is one example
He defeated Mathis 29-1 (20 knockouts) , Mac Foster 24-0 24 knockouts, Ron Lyle 19-0 17 knockouts , and Earnie Shavers 45-2 44 knockouts, a combined 117-3 w/105 knockouts all rated in the top 5 in the world.-(#1 to #5) And Jerry barely lost a round!

Throw in Floyd Patterson Ranked #3 And Thad Spencer #1, - people say Jerry never won the big fights!!!??? -Thats half dozen top 5 wins , And at the time!

Folks this is prime for prime right? We're not talking the Quarry with 50 or 60 pro bouts (still a top fiver) A younger rugged Quarry, I'm going with Riddick the favorite, And can also see it going at least 8 rounds with no knockdowns.

I think Riddick busts him up. I also think those Bowe dirty tactics bother Quarry and take him away from what he does best. And he cannot afford to fight a dumb fight against this guy. So I think he tries slugging away after getting hit low/on the break/rabbit punches/after the bell.

Not a winning formula and those Bowe combos and uppercuts swell and cut him up. Ref waves it off and of course Jerry protests about an unfair stoppage. He'd claim he had things right where he wanted them and nothing was hurting him.

Quarry found ways to lose his biggest matches. That said, he withstood Shavers' and Lyle's and Foster's bombs, so Riddick isn't getting him out there in a flash. It gets down and dirty. Riddick starts smashing his balls and busting him up. Corner stoppage when Jerry's face is falling off.

Very nice points,, my first thought was Bowe, but now I think it could be more of a rumble than I first thought.

    Hi Buddy.
Nice to see more postings from your good self, long overdue, regarding Quarry ( my fav during the early 70s ) I feel he was more rugged as he got older and heavier, altogether more solid looking, the younger incarnation was more of a fluid counter puncher in my eyes, personally I favour the older Quarry ( Lyle ) to maybe upset Bowe, but it wouldn't be easy.
    stay safe buddy, chat soon.

My issue is with what’s between Bowe’s ears, he was about as smart as a mastiff at times which is what makes it fun. Against Golota the same play was working forever, Tubbs worked him out, Holyfield fought him the way Bowe wanted him to. I think if let’s say Quarry didn’t cut so easy would you rate him to win?
