Is Quarry a live underdog? What would you have him do to win this one? Vitali isn't the fastest guy. He's got size and reach, but is Quarry clever enough to counter-punch his way with Vitali and not get in a tough slugging contest? Surely the size difference would make him keen to do so. Will this just look like Byrd vs Vitali? Byrd was mildly successful at times (Although he did end up winning).

    Thoughts?

Klit on cuts. Quarry would land a few bombs here and there, and lord knows Vitali wouldnt appreciate the numbers body shots he'd be treated to in the clinch. His work rate is better than most fighters that VK has faced as well because they knew how to train in the 70s, ie RUNNING.

But Jerry was too small, his skin too fragile, to survive the off beat jab and would be methodically busted up to the point where the doc calls it a fight by 8 or 9.

Yep, I think his skin could fail him. Vitali could certainly bust him up with that jab. A tough task.

My thought is that Vitali Klitschko would beat the ever living **** out of Jerry Quarry. No, I am not one of those people that doesn't give "Irish" Jerry any credit. I think Quarry could have possibly been World Champion in some other eras, but against Vitali, he would get a beating!!!

Awww, I wish you guys weren't right here. I'd like to go against the grain but feel Vitali has enough height and reach to take Jerry's best chances away. Stilllll, just maybe Jerry can catch Vitali like he did the undefeated and ever jabbing Mac Foster. I'd like to think so.

Jerry would have a good chance here but I think his cuts will fail him as they often do.

Quarry was damn good at best but I don't see this as a question mark. If we're talking about the best Quarry VS the 38-year-old Vitali, I still would wonder if Quarry could do it.

I don't know how anyone would not want to look at Amir Khan's naked torso. I mean, according to the HBO crew, he's a sexy, sexy young man. Kellerman would. Don't doubt it. Kellerman and Lampley would at the same time. Believe it. They wish they'd gotten this picture on their cell phones.

How is this a bad matchup? Quarry feasted on bigger heavyweights throughout his career. Even George Foreman ducked Quarry. Vitali could very well be beaten in this fight. Vitali is not very skilled, and a pressure fighter like quarry might force vitali into adversity, and we all know vitali doesn't like to be in difficult fights..he usually finds a way to lose those.

I really believe that Wlad would be an easier matchup for Quarry than Vitali would be as Wlad has a much more predictable punching pattern for Quarry to anticipate and counter. Vitali's size, fluidity and power would be a little too much for Jerry but I think that he could effectively use feints and counter the more predictable Wlad.
