Evander Holyfield outboxed him rather handily untill he got careless and decided to trade with him. Walcott outboxes him all the way.

The only way I can see Bowe wining is by knockout which probably won't happen.

bowes jab would allow him to dominate outside. on the inside, his superior strength and power would make him the boss there too.

given bowes very good chin, i dont give jersey joe much of a shot.

    bowe by tko in ten.

    your a poet
    and you didnt know it

    :good

interesting choice as bowe was an inside fighter who was 6'5 - 6'4 in hieght.used that hieght for leverage for his punches and had a decent jab when he needed to get to somone. even though people say (well teddy atlas) if you fight tall you should use that long reech advantage and stay on the outside. and in most cases your right but it can be an advantage if your taller you have a bigger frame and can put more blunt force on the punches and put alot of wieght and literal pressure which can tire a man out more than anything.

against holy field he showed he could box jab but aloso go toe to toe to beat a man up who had a hard chin, and determination.

jersey joe is a stylistic nightmare a power house with very agile movement to get in and out of range very quickly and throw his bombs in the meanwhile. a good boxer in that he could slug with you but he was only using that to decoy you into exposing your chin.always moving hard to hit if you time him then you can catch him joe louis whoed us that if you use a jab to keep him away then bomb back with a right hand then hook again it's too much for him it worked against small but powerful sluggers. while a good boxer cant get near to him becuase an unorthodox punch will hit you soon if you try to jab him.

as much as i love jersey joe in that he can win alot of fights.bowe is so big and determined to fight he will just on the inside and keep firing hooks and uppercuts.jersey might win a ound by being small and being hard to hit but bowe takes up all the television space and by the time you run he has trapped you again.
ko by bowe by a around 6-10 rounds joe could hit hard but it wouldnt stop bowe where bowe could drop joe and joe will change tactics which will lose him the fight

bowe doesnt respect things like that he would just move foreward and barge him to the ropes and trade with him which bowe will get the best of

Bowe had that slow jab that he would be countered over and he was open to the hook because he kept his right low, Jersey Joe would have a field day with everything except the size of Bowe, which is why he would give up the early rounds, onced he settled in by round 3, he wouls outmanuver Bowe and pot shot him with a few punches that hurt Bowe, I would not be suprised to see Bowe on the floor a time or 2,Walcoott UD 12

Bowe would lose against all tricky boxers with a difficult style and great skills, like in this example Walcott. Bowe´s defense was getting hit, and against Walcott, who had great one-punch- power and who could bang from all kind of ankles, I could also immagine a TKO for Jersey Joe, the only way Bowe could win IMO is a lucky punch...

    Walcott UD 12 Bowe

Good anology, I 'll go along with this.

Walcott was a fine 'boxer' from a pure sense and very savvy, that said I do tend to think Bowe's style was definitely more vunerable to ATG hitters- of which he didn't face too many at all throughout his career. Walcott would likely be ahead on the scorecards approaching the later rounds, however I think his decent-but-hardly-granite chin might cost him eventually against Bowe's formidible inside game and power.

    Bowe TKO12 Walcott.

If it was that simple every puncher Walcott faced would have done it.

Walcott was extremely mobile and as slipery as they come. He could make anybody look foolish and if you rushed forward after him carlesly you often ended up on your but wondering how you got there.

Bowe would need a knockout to win which is certainly possible but my guess is that Jersey Joe out slicks him to take the decision.

Holyfield clearly had him hurt at times and Walcott seems to have hit somewhat harder than Holyfield.

I would not rule out that Walcott could hurt Bowe or put him in trouble.

Walcott counters and outboxes Bowe to a clear decision if he moves Bowe won't beable to catch him, he couldn't catch Holyfield when he moved and boxed in the second meeting noway he finds Walcott.

Well, Tony Tubbs certainly did a good boxing job on Bowe, and Tubbs was no Walcott. This however, was probably not the most fully developed version of Riddick Bowe though. We also have to ask ourselves exactly how many fighters did Walcott face who were 6'5" 225 Lbs and former olympians who were undefeated for most of their pro careers? I suppose Jersey taking a decision is not entirely out of the question, but he'd have to work inordinately hard to do it, and I'm not sure if he could take the constant pressure coming from a prime Riddick.

    My guess:

Possible- Walcott taking a close decision

Probable- Bowe winning by late stoppage.

    Walcott decision

Bowes only hope is if Walcot decised to stand and trade with him
In fact thats the key attribute to any Bowe wins, stand and trade but have a 30lb advantage

Good match up, with plausible victorious endings for both guys imo.
I think it goes to a dec, whichever direction it takes let's hear more views.
