Jersey Joe at his best against these 60/70 s contender s ? Mildenberger Chuvalo Bonavena Quarry Cooper Ellis ?? 15 round s
He beats them all. Mildenberger by ko . Chuvalo by U dec. Bonavena by U dec. Quarry by tko. Cooper by ko. Ellis by M Dec.
You never know which Jersey Joe you're going to get. He's best vs slow footed types, but could be too defense and fold to pressure punchers. I think Walcott goes 4-2 or 5-1 here. Ellis and Quarry have a good chance for an upset. Bonavena could pound out a win. Remember, Walcott lost to Rex Layne, who wasn't very good, and Joey Maxim.
Walcott looked good vs slow footed fighters. Picking out his prime is not easy. Layne and Maxim would not be among Walcott's three best opponents in this thread. Yet, they brought enough into the ring to deter and beat Walcott. No excuses.
I'll see your Layne and Maxim and raise you a highlight reel KO win over a prime Ezzard Charles and an arguable SD win over Joe Louis
Like I said you never know which Walcott you were going to get. He lost a lot, I just picked two cases. I do think he won a UD over Joe Louis in the first fight, it was a match up and styles type of thing.
Lol! You think he won a unanimous decision! What does this mean? Do you think the announcer read the decision incorrectly? Are there flights in which you award a split decision?
If we're picking Joe at his very Best ,then he's beating em all .Yes ,he had lean times and L's on his record but remember ,a near 40 year old Walcott had Marciano looking at defeat .So if we pull a fully fit ,focused Jersey out and put him in with those I listed ,he's beating em ..no doubts .
All good fighters would imagine he drops one on the way although If we are talking his absolute best he wins them all.
The best possible version of Joe versus the Best possible version s of the men I listed .J Joe beats them. Some fight s are harder than others but Walcott gets the W .
