    If Thomas trains diligently and stays drug free, he might have potentially beaten Walcott. He did look very good in outpointing Tim Witherspoon in 1984 who was right around his pinnacle. That said, any lesser version of Thomas loses to Jersey.

    They match up close skillwise. I think Thomas (at his very best) was bigger and rangier and that would carry the day. If you chose random points in their careers to match them, then Walcott would carry the day most of the time. He was more consistent for a longer period of time. Thomas was a shooting star who couldn't deal with success and fizzled out quickly.
