Walcott`s guard is too active, he would have kept Shavers guessing all-night, Shavers couldn`t pressure the way Marciano could and didn`t have his chin, Walcott would have knocked him out.

Walcott would school him at first and then knock him out when Shavers became gassed

Jersey should get himself a late ko, but if he get s complacent and caught with a thunderous shot from Earnie!!

That left hook he landed on Charles, I think, would smoke Shavers

I pick Jersey Joe. But Shavers might be able to land the big right hand the way Marciano did. A slight possibility for Shavers by KO after 7, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Shavers never had a KO past the 7th round...he couldn't carry his power into the later rounds!!!

I get what you're saying tho, 7 is a bit too far into the fight to say Shavers by KO. However, Shavers was still capable of flooring a man after being behind a while.

Shavers did have the potential to be losing, and he came back to give Ali and Holmes great moments.

It certainly could have done, Shavers didn't posses a chin like Big George. A kind of dangerous fight for JJW really, he could run rings around him and make Shavers look silly but we know the power Earnie possessed.

Jersey Joe would outbox him, and maybe suffer a knockdown Shavers-Holmes/ Marciano-Walcott style, but come back to force a stoppage.

I think that Jersey Joe Walcott would be too cagey for a Earnie Shavers, if Jerry Quarry could take down Earnie in round 1, then I believe that Walcott could score a KO 5 over The Acorn, Earnie Shavers, who does lack the stamina to hang around, where Jersey Joe has before.

Walcott by KO...Walcott’s one of those weird fighters that could win anything and def lose anything lol
