That's been my ''mantra'' on board here for years!
I always like to use Dempsey & Vlad as examples.
Does anyone think a 'post-Czarist Russia' Vlad in 1921 would be anything like we have seen him? (Firpo plus?)
Does anyone think a prime 2000 Dempsey would be anything like we have seen him? (Tyson plus?)

Mathis moved well for a 240 lb heavyweight. He had fast footwork and good coordination for a man that size. Frazier looks to be just grinding him down like he did everyone else. Ofcourse Joe was focused on the ribcage early on. This was his chance to really find out what Buster had inside because those little 3 round amateur fights were slanted towards Mathis`s style. Supremely confident was Frazier just entering his prime at this point. He had worked and trained with Buster Mathis. Joe just wanted it more and at the end he enjoyed taxing Mathis with those punishing hooks on the inside.
