Jersey Joe Walcott vs Jimmy Braddock

Walcott, I would bet on him in a second, and at his best, over many other champs besides Braddock.

 

Braddock could possibly have outworked Walcott. Just as Layne did. I think Braddock's better than Layne.
We don't know how Walcott of the Simon fight compares with the Walcott we have seen, maybe he was in his prime.

And my point is, Braddock and Walcott are on the same level. Guys with patchy records, tough career paths, who came good with comebacks off the dole queue.
