Thinking about who would win this one. Leaning towards Walcott but what do the denizens of boxingforum24.com think?

I think Walcott will land something clean at some point and Ellis won’t be able to take it, Ellis is probably a better backfoot boxer and slicker than Charles, but doesn’t have his power and isn’t as well rounded, can’t catch and shoot as well or fight in the pocket as well as Charles or counter, Charles had great balance which allowed him to be in a good position to counter when opponents left themselves off balance.
I think this is a boring fight right up until Walcott lands to punch, probably a right hand set up over the jab, he probably feints the jab or jabs to the body, slips to his right and cracks Ellis and knocks him out.

I would pick Jersey Joe in this one--KO or stoppage 8-10 rounds. Walcott was a cagey, slick fighter who knew all the tricks and had sneaky power. Too much for Ellis to handle.

Old Joe cracks Ellis with a sneaky hard left hook, mid way through the fight.
Jimmy tries to rise but his legs betray him.

Joe has too much pop for him, KO about 9 or 10.

Ellis by stoppage. While Walcott is sand dancing Jimmy gonna be lining up that right hand. The one Oscar Bonevena never saw coming.

All around yes, Ellis is better on the backfoot boxing at range, but Charles is way more versatile and is better, I’d certainly pick him over Ellis.
