Specific monthly RING ratings are hard to come by. Sometimes we are lucky and find them, sometimes we are not. In this instance you have to use deductive reasoning. As I say one last time, immediately prior to meeting Sheppard they beat men who we know were holding a rating. And we know Sheppard earned a similar rating after beating them. It's not hard to fill in the blank. To not see the logic in that, is to be dense. Well, I did. All my comments regarding Sheppard was in contrast to Tua. If you are not disputing that, than you have no point. My argument was Tua was no more threatening to a fighter of Walcott's capability than Sheppard as far as we know, if you are not providing a counter to that you are not playing advocate. You are rambling with no purpose, wasting our time because you are obsessed with me, and just had to try to find an argument when you have none.
One has to call it as they see it. You went out of your way in post #107 to address me with ironic questions and continued your charade of admitted pointlessness for no reason than to get and hold my attention. Not so insignificant.
You have to ask yourself. Is Tua closer to the all time great Champions who actually knocked Walcott out in Marciano and Louis? Or is Tua more closely grouped with the parade of good but limited sluggers like Ray, Gomez, Sheppard, Murray...etc that couldn't get to Walcott?
I would say that is very wrong and unfounded, Both Sheppard and Tua's effectiveness dropped off tremendously against class opponents.
Interjected. Why use words inappropriately, you don't impress anyone ,you just make yourself look even more stupid than you already are.:-(
Tua has a puncher's chance against anyone. And was known to score some good come-from-behind KOs. But I think prime Walcott would be too good for him. Tua's footwork was exposed as clumsy when guys started boxing and moving, and Walcott had some pretty good footwork sometimes and was an accurate puncher. I'd make Walcott the favourite but Tua's in with a good chance all the way to the final bell.
Hell i hate the ****ing idiots who use as stupid argument "he is greater he did beat ranked contenders etc" IT IS A HEAD TO HEAD MATCH ****ING STUPIDS .WALCOTT COULD BEAT ALL THE RANKED CONTENDERS OF HIS ERA STILL TUA DESTROYS HIM
It's a boxing forum, nobody cares. My phone auto fills the completely wrong word from time to time, and I don't care enough to catch it every time. Please continue to proof read my posts for me, I'm eternally grateful. You don't look bitter, obsessive, and pretentious at all.
Ike fight could have gone to either man. He was schooled against Louis and Byrd. Two opponents I see Rocky having issues with as well. If Rocky was to face Tua' career set and if Sheppard was to face Tua' career set I think the former would have a similar record to Tua whereas the latter would end up with a very patchy record imo. Obviously I rate Rocky ahead of Tua but going through the men Tua fought, only the Byrd result differs drastically imo. So yes I think Tua is closer to Rocky than Sheppard.
