Walcott was not a full time professional fighter, when he was stopped by “the bum Abe Simon”, so no that was not his prime.

Then do me the pleasure of listing these ranked contenders that saw Tua come up short.

No but someone with huge power against someone with shaky whiskers is a reason to suspect icing will occur.

Byrd is generally underrated in my mind but yes he beat Tua exactly how I would envision Young to do so.

Well the worst matchup is anyone who can sit him behind a jab because of his small stature. A disciplined defensive wizard is always gonna be tough for him to beat though.

I don't pick him against all those, just the ones I feel Tua would beat.

Young should be familiar. I don't think he was robbed half as often as people say he was but I do believe he would be competitive vs most anyone.

Could you please list these men you feel he came up short against.

Mac Foster doesn't have the handspeed or the late power that Tua did.

Byrd and Walcott are totally different fighters.

Walcott could also get ****y and put himself I'm needless danger.

He wasn't that great a talent in my mind. Just had the right ser of attributes to make a huge splash.

Lewis and Byrd. Both men who were the highest ranked HW at a given point in history.

Mac didn't have the speed or late power of Tua.

Not without severely draining himself, I agree.

Not as impressed as you are. I just think if leave your chin on a plate against Tua you're not gonna beat a ten count.
