Oh very nice. I plan to be in Philly next summer will definitely try and check this out.

 

To me Jersey Joe Walcott will always be a symbol of perseverance. A man who wasn’t supposed to make it but did. He was a blue collar working man who built up a boxing career in the side and paid his dues in blood before finally winning it big... he’s a true tough man and a hero.

 

Somebody should start a movement to get a statue for Manuel Ortiz in Home Gardens.

 

One of Thee Best for sure, a pleasure to watch.

 

This man really deserves this tribute. Walcott shows what hard work and dedication can bring.

 

Hopefully they can fix that statue so it doesn't look so much like Kubrat Pulev.

 

More Importantly, he was just an absolutely fantastic Boxer and fighter, simple as that!

 

It is, simple as that.
I can watch a JJW fight all day long. Such a unique style all about him. How he can just casually walk over to his opponent, then suddenly drop him with an hook.
Amazing.
