Magdaleno is exploiting Vicente's hesitancy to close the distance and cut loose by raining down right jabs on him while floating in a spiral around Top Rank's logo, several paces away. Vicente trying to hype himself up, jabbing partway in, but telegraphing the right hand and getting turned and countered with 1-2s on the brow. Magdaleno lightly point-scoring and getting a move on, easily out-stepping Vicente.

Round 3

Vicente starting to slap his right hand against his forehead, pumping himself up - but in practice he's still only tentatively single- or double-jabbing and then refusing to bum-rush Magdaleno against the ropes lest he run into another counter left, or shooting out a lone right and only grazing the chest with it. Magdaleno able to wriggle out the side door every time he's nearly trapped, and continues to extend his longer right jab past Vicente's left. Magdaleno getting cockier, winging some lefts around sidelong into the right cheek of Vicente and falling into clinches as they collide.

The left hook is available for Vicente to land, over Magdaleno's right arm held lazily by his waist - but as Bradley correctly points out he would need to commit to punching in combos to get inside and score it consistently, and he's lacking the courage to leave himself open to do that.
