Willard with modern training and nutrition would have weighed ~300lb and been 7 ft tall. He also would have started boxing when he was 12 and had elite skills. My version of Willard destroys all.
Willard in the 70s .Loses by ko to Ali ,Frazier, Foreman ,Lyle.Loses on points to Norton ,Quarry, Oscar ,Young. If we're talking 15 round's ,which it would be ,then Willard suffers .The longer distance fight s probably work better for a durable guy like Jess .
I think he gets a whooping by a lot of people. He was big, powerful, with a strong chin and a huge heart. His stamina was excellent. But his skills were not. He often did his best work in the long haul where his physicality ground down his opponents. With 10-12 round fights, Original Big Jess has a problem. He might be a Ross Puritty type, able to give the best a run for their money and maybe get lucky sometime. But overall, I foresee what Clubber Lang foresaw: "Pain!"
Yep that's a possible scenario ,if he did I see it being a late stoppage around the 13 th mark. And then again it's possible Lyle drops and stops him .Ron could be a bit unpredictable at times.
No ..the 22 nd century one has just turned up .Big enough for Carnera,Willard ,Firpo and just enough room for the two K brothers to Squeeze in !
