So apart from Wlad, who did Sanders ever beat? When did he ever stop a world class opponent who was durable? People make ridiculous claims for Sanders based on his sole good career win.
I disagree. Wlad became far technically superior to Vitali, has a better jab, faster hands, and is a much better puncher. I like the 2010 Wladimir Klitschko over any version of Vitali.
No he can't correct his chin He can change his style , increase upper body movement , change his hand position , work on his footwork ect ect but he can't correct a dodgy chin
I swear I already posted in this...but Sanders in a blowout. The size gap between the two wouldn't even be that big. The gap in everything else would be with the lone exception of stamina/chin.
There would indeed be some gaps. A big gap in terms of the number of world class fighters they beat in favour of Willard for example. Given the way Sanders so consistently lost when he stepped up in competition, it seem preposterous to predict that he would have an easy time with any durable lineal champion. I am still waiting for somebody to tell me what Sanders second best win is by the way.

Janitor- You like to drop the "world class" qualification as though there is an equivalency in world class heavyweights between the 1910's and the 1990's.... which there is not... as his distinctly proven by the fact a hayseed was able to saunter off the farm in his late 20's and win the world title. Middleweights swarming the heavy ranks, the color line, rank amateurs and guys with .500 records in the top ranks... versus an era of large, world class athletes (when 6 foot 2, 220 pounds was considered normal), most with extensive amateur grooming, no color line... There is no equivalency here. Sanders by brutal, life-affecting KO here. Willard completely out of his depth.
Corrie punches himself tired. Jack Johnson probably hit just as hard and the gloves compared to today are 100x safer. Willard by KO round 9
Jack Johnson looks a lot better then Corrie. Possibly the smartest man to get into the ring he also had power and the gloves then we have the glove difference.
This is a lie. Williard had very good defense for his size and was known as a counterpuncher. Look at the way he rolls his arms, the same way Wlad and Vitali do today, to block punches from reaching his head. Look at the way he parries. Watch him against Jack Johnson, who was very crafty, and precises with his short combination punches, and see that Williard had some success in blocking and rolling his punches.
