Jess Willard vs. David Price

A mauling, clinching fight. Price finds it hard to do any thing against jess. At end of twelve it's a bit of a controversial draw

Price wouldn't see the twelfth round so Willard wins be default.

 

Willard did not get aggressive unless he was hurt,he was normally content to prod out his left and keep his opponent at range.If Price landed a big right, Jess would respond in kind and he had the durability to win in that scenario,imo Price does not, his 4 losses are all by stoppage.

 

Really can't see price ko ing willard. Like been mentioned quite a durable guy. He would have been a handful for a lot of heavy s. The dempsey ko doesn't tell the full story.

 

You don't have to get aggressive, all you have to do against Price is make it to the mid-rounds.

 

David Price isn't too good at boxing.

Willard also beats him at rodeo, hogtying and chequers.

 

Willard knocks him out. Price would be well served to try some sort of voodoo ritual to channel Willard's strength, toughness, chin, conditioning, and heart.

Put Price in against Havana Johnson, and Jack gets him out by the 5th round.

Put him in against Dempsey, and Jack might give a fan in the 9th row a grisly souvenir when he airmail's Price's head to them via the Left Hook Express.
