Look at Willard's jab and right hand. And look at the way he glides across the ring and throw's crisp combinations. He looks like a blend of a prime Larry Holmes and prime Wlad Klitchsko rolled into this 6'6 245 pound frame. Couple that with his awesome strength and it's a wonder that Jack Dempsey managed to beat him! Jess Willard certainly would DESTROY the current crop of heavies. Anthony Joshua, Andy Ruiz, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury would be no match for this beast!

And he managed to put on this skillfest not in an air conditioned arena but in the blistering heat of Havana, Cuba. What a man!

If this video wasn't fastened 3x, he would look more like a combination of Timo Hoffmann and Kevin McBride

Well, I'd say if Willard hit any of todays heavyweights with that right hand with that glove he ko them all.

Willard was limited fighter, but he was talented and I think he could have been really good had he have his mind more into boxing. Johnson was in terrible shape for 45 rounder and it's visible that he didn't have it anymore.

LOL Willard 260 pounds? Temperature 103 in April?

Thumbs up to Willard's inch worm style footwork. Johnson didn't seem to have much defense vs. the straight shots to the body, nor could he clinch, maul, and hit Willard, those tactics worked against smaller short men or older tiered men.

The one good point this film makes is showing Johnson's legs go dead after the KO. He was out. Don't buy this dive business from Johnson, its a lie.

Willard didn't find his body much in the first half of the fight.
You keep saying this, but somehow Johnson beat a lot of big young and prime fighters. Unfortunately, we don't have most of these fights on film.

You know I'm telling the truth! Many around here just want to deny Jess Willard's skills because they have an agenda of keeping the masses ignorant about how great the giants of yesteryear were and they have an agenda of boosting up the modern day giants at the expense of the old time giants!

Especially @Seamus and @GOAT Primo Carnera

We all know, that you don't really believe this - so what's the point? Why not contribute with something worthwhile instead?
