Willard is big and strong and can take a licking ... and boy, will he take one. I can't see any single attribute that Jess has that will give him a chance in this one. Vitali is bigger, stronger, way more skilled. Maybe if Willard mauls him and tried to pop his shoulder out in a clinch? LOL.

He was very good at shutting opponents out, but he generally needed rounds to dispose of anybody above Euro level, and some who were Euro level.

Here he is going to be up against a man with some physical advantages, who uses a somewhat similar style if we are brutally honest.

It is going to be more interesting than you think!

 

Willard is tall and has a very long 83 inch reach. Vitali has a 78 inch reach means his lean back arm punching won't work on Willard like it does on the little fellas.
Willards relentless attack would complete Vitali around level 10. Vitali avoided Jameel McCline for heavens sake

Yeah but he looked nearly unbeatable when he was beaten by Chris Byrd and Lennox Lewis

 

This. Vitali is one of the most overrated fighters on this forum. Willard had a better jab than Vitali and also had better defense and he wasn't a quitter like Vitali.

 

Vitali beats the **** out of Willard. Unlike Johnson vs Willard, however, Willard doesn't survive to see his opponent tire. Vitali KO in the mid rounds

 

Outside of maybe Mendoza who exactly overrates Vitali?
