Fury is probably the best example of how "modern conditioning, training techniques and nutriton" are little more than trivial in a sport like boxing.

Nevertheless, Fury is approximately ten times better in every facet of boxing, in comparison to Willard who was a lummox.

This is why I love Fury. No BS.

He can look bad. But if he's beating you to the punch, that's all that matters!

Fury aint no bum, he's lineal champ of the world.

Fury and Willard don't look that different!

    Fury head movement looks better.

But Willard is sharper! Check out this combo off of some feints

    Haha, true.

It would look so bad to Kevin. It would look great to me!

Whether people like to admit it or not, Willard used much the same methods as Vitally Klitschko.

Willard’s weakness was not so much his technique, as the fact that he didn’t have a suitable mind set for boxing.

All jokes aside though, lets be clear. However you feel about his style, the Fury clip shows him using lateral movement and controlling distance against a giant, athletic opponent, with a degree of sophistication that I don't see in Willard's footage. In fact, it's pretty much the opposite of what Willard does in that clip. Doesn't mean Fury's greater or even better but let's be clear that what he's doing reflects added layers of technique and skills.

Also rare to see a man anywhere close to Fury's size use such head movement and feints to keep his opponent off balance and prevent him from finding easy angles.

He's quite nimble for a huge guy, but Fury isn't really doing much in that clip. He's getting away with it because Vlad hates to lead off.

I don't think he's showing much, if any, technical advancement. I just think he's poison for Klitschko.

How do you see the rematch going?

So that's an fight ready Fury in that picture, right?

Should show comparisons to fat Johnson, jelly-bellied Ali or Alfalfa Farming Jeffries?

Fury is Leon to Wlad's Ali. Wlad is 40 years old fer crissakes. Let's not pretend Fury dismantled some prime version. Unless your name rhymes with DinoVelvet. Then, pretend all you like.

Fury is just horrible. Rank amateur.
