He can still compete at 108 and at 112 plus currently at 115 . Theres so many good fighters at those weights who he can face and built a great resume with. Theres absolutely no need for him to move up to the wasteland that is the bantamweight division.

Everything he needs to get to the top is where he is at right now.

Yeah, Bam doesn't need to go the Inoue route of ducking all credible super flyweight opponents.

If he cleans up the major players at 115, then beats guys like Tanaka, Martinez, Kenshiro, Dalakian, Edwards, Nakatani and Kyoguchi, all while still reasonably good, and we're looking at an all-time great in the lower weight classes.

Whether or not he can actually do that, remains to be seen, but it certainly looks good for him.

Inoue wanted Roman at 11-0. Roman said need mo' money. Then after Inoue beat down Nieves, he called out Roman again. Roman ducked him.

Exactly. Why move out of a really stacked division? It’s already frustrating enough that Inoue didn’t face Chocolatito, Gallo, or SSR at a time when he could have. Bam can easily stick around and face those guys. But like you said, that remains to be seen.

You also forgot to mention that Chocolatito was the man of the division and was fighting the tougher oppositions. Inoue beat Nieves on the same card when SSR iced Chocolatito. By then the idea of Inoue facing Chocolatito was scrapped because of that KO loss. Then that’s when Inoue moved up, although he really could have at least face Ancajas.

Come on, bro. You know Inoue ain't ducked nobody. Donaire didn't fight any of them either. You really think Donaire ducked them?

Inoue wanted Roman. Roman didn't want it the first time. And he didn't want it again. He also stalled the Estrada rematch for like 8 years citing money. Roman is a gangster and I love him, but he's very much money motivated.

Inoue's fearless. Donaire broke his eye socket and nose. I thought he would box and play it extremely safe in the rematch. Instead, Inoue took the fight to Donaire (Donaire's wheelhouse) and obliterated him. Surprised the hell out of me.

Also, he moved up because he couldn't make 115 anymore.

Not saying Inoue ducked anyone but he really passed up the opportunity to face the very best fighters when he was around. Also Donaire is coming down from FW to BW, there’s no way he would come down any further than that.

And he asked for the Roman fight TWICE. Roman didn't want it. Simple as that.

Beating the likes of Estrada and Chocolatito would be better than beating Donaire . Those would have been two great scalps to have in his resume and would erase any doubts about the quality of his resume only a fool would dare question it. A shame it never happened.

    Howso?

Donaire is a far more dangerous proposition than either guy. Murderous left hook with speed and durability and size.

I strongly feel that if Donaire was motivated enough to drop down to 115, he'd ice both guys.

And if he beat Donaire you'd say he beat an old washed up guy.

    Smh.

Beating those guys at that time would have no doubt elevated Inoue’s ATG status, shame that it wasn’t meant to be.

Inoue and his team tried their darnest to make the fights happen at 115.

Inoue tried to make the fight Ancajas and made an offer 3 times - Ancajas declined each time.

Inoue tried to fight Yafai on the Rungvisai-Estrada I card - Yafai declined.

There were talks of Gonzalez vs Inoue before Choco lost to Rungvisai and even then there was the possibility for it to happen had Gonzalez won the rematch - Not Inoue's fault.

He couldn't get the Estrada and Rungvisai fights because they were mandated to fight each other in 2018 and by that point Inoue wasted 4 years trying to get the big fights.

So no Inoue never ducked anyone.

Inoue already put Nonito out to pasture. If Nonito goes down to 115 and looks good KOing a contender and then Bam beats him, he'll get credit. Nonito, if he doesn't retire, will look like a shell which...

... would be in line with Bam's resume.

You know damn well Donaire isn't gonna kill himself to drain further down to 115, that's really pushing it and it's gonna hurt his body. It'll also give people more fuel to call him a "weight bully" as well. Donaire is finished as an elite fighter and shouldn't need to stick around any longer in the sport.

But don't worry, we'll definitely see Bam take on a fresher fighter than 39 year old Donaire in his next fight.
