The interviewer was doing his share of 'leading' to get him to say some of that stuff too.

Some of you guys are truly pathetic. You **** and moan about how fighters won't take big risks, and then you get a guy who is screaming for the chance to take a big risk, and you **** all over him. ****ing Pathetic.

Brinkley could easily settle for a nice paying career as a regional star and famous club fighter, or he can let it all hang out and force his way into a fight with a top guy. Either way you ****ing imbeciles would cry, complain, and critisize.

Problem right now is the fights available to Bute at 168 for now. If he gets past Miranda, then he almost 'needs' a mandatory like Brinkley. Someone that has earned the shot and he has to fight so people can't give him too much **** for fighting him.

Kelly at a catch weight? Dreaming. How about 160.1? :D

And a great rack... and Booradly you're 100% right. At least Jesse is willing to test himself, win, lose or getting stretched, which is quite likely to happen once he steps it up :thumbsup

People knock elite fighters for not taking risks. Brinkley has to take whatever risk he can to get a big fight. The guy's 33 and got some momentum going so of course he's gonna take a shot to try and get a big fight. he ain't taking risks, hes trying to capitilize and is probably a little desperate. he knows he can't beat bika or bute, but the guy needs to get paid i'm sure. And if he truly thinks he can beat those guys, he ought to re watch his fight with Robin Reid. Reid was semi retired and beat him prettty soundly even not at his best.

I am yet to see one great fighter come from a reality television series.

Why wouldn't Kelly beat him at 168? I'm sure a catchweight would benefit Pavlik, but I don't see how he'd need it. Not against this guy.

There's a thin line between brave, confident and stupid. Beat Bute, Bika and Froch? They'd all tear through him inside 8 rounds. Bika is like Glen Johnson with 10 less losses, 10 years younger and more tenacity. He'd KO Brinkley with little struggle. Bute and Froch? On a totally different level. EASY win. Too slick...and they'd drown him late. Any and everybody in the Super Six would school Brinkley.

There is a distinct difference between taking risks and trying to capitalize on your semi-popularity by sacrificing yourself in a fight you absolutely don't have the skills to win.

It is the nature of a fighter to be confident. Even Jesse wouldnt have gotten as far as he did if he was unsure of himself. It is just funny for an outsider, a person who is realistic, to hear him make his claims.

It's not a risk when you're a glorified journeyman talking **** to get a fight. There's no risk involved!

Yeah but it is 1 thing to say that u think u gonna win and give respect to you're opponent by saying stuff like (i know he's the favortie , he's a good boxer , good champ etc) and expressing you're confidence by saying stuff like (..but i'll try to ko him ...i know i have my chance and i'll go for it etc) and another thing is to say that a World Class champion is running scared from you (the big bad wolf)
