That's only a public training guys. Lucian is not working at his full speed. He is developping, since a couple of fights, some new ways to defend himself. He blocks more with his gloves. We saw it a lot against Miranda. Bute has always tried to learn new things and Larouche has always wanted that too. So far, it failed only once: when he tried to clinch Andrade. That was kind of pathetic. He still has to improve his inside game for the day he'll face Ward. He can outbox all the others easily but we know Ward will come inside.

The way he answers to journalists about his future (he's mad at them), I can see he is concentrated on Brinkley. What will be his strategy though? To win as fast as he can or to practice a bit some new parts of his game.

I think he will win pretty fast.

Of course, but nobody (IBF, Ibox) tried to make it hard for Andrade to come back as no1 contender. Just answer this question, what would happen if Andrade wants now to be no1 contender to Bute. IBF and Ibox will make everything they can to avoid making another (and this time meaningless) fight with him. Just see what happened with Bika. Brinkley had an injury when the fight between him and Bika was suppose to happen in may in the Andrade vs Lucas fight. And then without reason Brinkley is now the man to face Bute. I'm not saying thats bad (we all wanted the Andrade rematch and we dont want another Bika fight) I'm just saying that politics have its way in there.

It's amazing how much he learned english since last time we heard him (prior of the Miranda fight) when he was barely saying "I'm learnin english". It just shows how dedicated he is when he decide to make something.

    1. i wasn't sure what the IBF time scale was for a mandatory, so i just used the time scale of the other organizations.

    2. when andrade lost the first fight he should of dropped right down their rankings. dropping to the 3rd spot is a disgrace.

are you saying the first fight was close? :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

based on the fact that the tall, rangy cleverly would be able to box his way into the inside and unleash hell on bute. bute isn't able to fight on the inside all that well.:think

regarding the bottom of you're post:

i've already said in a earlier post that froch was the no.1 for the WBC. why the **** would he want to fight in a eliminator for the IBF?

    what???

i'm not hating you idiot. just because someone says another fighter would beat bute?

that's not hating. you defending bute like this though makes you nothing more than a fanboy. get over your self. it's sad.

To get a shot at a title quicker...such as October 2007 instead of December 2008. ;) The IBF eliminator was scheduled for June 2007...

It was a matter of high risk that Hennessy wasn't willing to take, therefore they chose to wait it out another year before getting a crack at a title...

Yeah....he also desperately wanted a shot at Calzaghe and his WBO belt...

Guys want to be champ, that's the botton line. I know Froch would face Wlad Klitschko if he had to but I'm convinced this was a shot called by his promoter to increase his chances of getting a belt because Bute was a stylistic nightmare for Frochy and most likely still is !!

It wasn't about the WBC strap..
