Vargas will do well at 126. He needs to fine tune that uppercut and work on his stamina.

FIne I was wrong, but... my prediction wasn't that far off, had Magsayo won the last two rounds and not taken his foot off the gas like an idiot, he'd have nicked it. Now mull that over, a guy with the in ring IQ of a special needs student, who fought an unconscionably awful fight, came within a round or two of beating him, and even managed to drop him and have him out on his feet for an entire round. Could you imagine what someone who can cut the ring off if capable of? Figueroa, Navarrete Luis Alberto Lopez, Robeisy Ramirez, Joet Gonzalez, Mauricio Lara and probably even Leigh Wood and Josh Warrington devour this pencil neck geek. At 126, his future is the definition of bleak.

It's amazing that Nietes has been unbeaten for close to 18 years. The man won a world title 15 years ago, for goodness sake. That being said, I think Ioka wins this rematch via comfortable decision.

My post had nothing to do with your pick. I was merely making a statement. Your knowledge and boxing IQ is not in question so stop ranting and raving about nothing.

Rey is boring af, but I think Navaratte and Figgy can bring a good fight out of him. Rey might beat Figgy though, even though I'd be rooting for Figgy to knock his ass out.

I never said you were questioning my pick or my boxing IQ, it has far more to do with my long standing hatred of Rey Vargas, and what an overrated hack I think he is. I was commenting on your statement, he will accomplish nothing at 126, and he certainly won't do well.

If Figgy fights Vargas like he fought Fulton and Nery, he ****ing destroys him, but if he fights him like he fought Castro last night, Vargas has a slight chance.

Thanks for clearing that up. Vargas will be a force to reckon with at 126. He has the height and knows how to use it. He has sharp power, good selection of combos, excellent chin and fast hands. His ring IQ is also excellent. I haven't seen but a couple of his fights so I may not have seen all of his weaknesses. I do know that he throws that uppercut from too far out. It didn't cost him a win last night but it is a flaw. Having said that, I think that he can hold his own against any fighter at 126
