I tuned in partway into round 3, and was scrambling to verify (on Twitter and other sources) that all the other bouts on the card had in fact ended (so I could know whether or not to make this into a 'one more for the road' official RBR thread instead of a heads-up to everybody to quickly tune into a main event in progress) for the next few minutes until posting this, so it didn't have my full attention until the start of the fifth. But yeah. Moreno came on bull-strong down the stretch and can't have lost seven of ten.

Womens boxing has completely incompetent judges, even in direct comparison to how bad most judges are period. Ever notice the obscene amount of draws there are in womens boxing? :think

Less rounds and 2 minute rounds contributes to that some, but yes, agreed.

You know what really sucks? This card was advertised on BoxRec (and in a few other places) as having supposed to have been on CBS Sports in the US along with Televisa in Mexico.

Had it been, I could have probably made a RBR thread in time for at least the last two bouts (this one, and López vs. Cruz - although both Rodríguez and Terrazas had fought already before the HBO PPV ended) instead of stumbling across the WBC link as late as I did.

Crazy thing is that CBS Sports in fact did have boxing on - but it wasn't live. It was a replay of another card from Cancún, from last month. The one in which Cristian Mijares upset Andres Gutierrez.

    :?

Why show old boxing instead of live when you clearly have some kind of co-broadcasting agreement with your international counterpart?

I would've liked to see how Chihuas is looking. My suspicion is that his career is pretty much over, at least at the highest level. (and even well below it)

Fajardo I had the feel of writing on the wall, and despite rectifying matters in the rematch he then lost two in a row...

Chocolatito and Takayama basically tag-teamed his prime to smithereens, IMO.
